Well,as you can see from my Family Cowboy & Ranch pictures,Cowboys are in my blood. My Dad worked every summer on his Father's GOS Cattle Ranch & was a true cowboy & taught me to ride & love all things western,down to saddles,horses,hunting,boots,Windmills,& the life of a free roaming cowboy. My Dad is gone now but I recently had the honor of talking with an old cowboy that worked on the GOS & knew both my Father & Grandfather. I so loved listening to his ranch tales. I could fill pages with old pictures of the ranch,my Father,ect. I want to have a Cowboy Room with a dinnig area in our next home to display all the wonderful things from those Cowboy ranch days that have been past down to me. My husband collects vintage cast iron,& we have all sizes of Cast iron Dutch ovens just like the camp Chuckwagon cooks used to cook in for the cowboys when out on round-ups. Nothing better than beef buried in a pit in a cast iron oven & cooked until it melts in your mouth! So...I have been looking for Cowboy dishes,while waitng for Joel to do his Cowboy dishes I found these HLC Restaurant Cowboy design dishes. They are great!! If anyone knows when & if HLC still makes them please email me. I just picked up this wonderful Vintage,never used Cowboy tablecloth & napkins that has such wonderful graphics on it in which the following pictures you will see different graphics on the tablecloth with the HLC dishes. To me,old vintage linens & the pictures,colors on them are Artwork in themselves. I also added a couple of pictures of Ben Lily. Ben was a mountain Lion & Bear hunter,that worked on the GOS Ranch for years,keeping the Cattle safe. He has had many books written about him. My father used to hunt with Ben on the GOS Ranch. He actually was hired by Teddy Roosevelt to take him on a lion hunt. Pictures here are from a book written about him & show him at the GOS Ranch. Enjoy,Kathy
